Hi Alex,
The photo, Tungara Magic reminds me of a bit of magic I used to do in the darkroom. By exposing a developing B/W print to light very briefly one sometimes (not always as I remember) gets what are called "mackie lines"...white outlines around the areas of darkest exposure. Your frog reaching out of the dark reminds me of the effect.
